Veuve Clicquot’s iconic mustard yellow box is getting a life-sized counterpart that could house your champagne and all your groceries in style.
In collaboration with Smeg, the brand is celebrating 250 years by melding its signature hue with the appliance company’s timeless aesthetic to create refrigerators that toast to your love for champagne.
The collaboration takes the rounded, 50s-inspired FAB10 and FAB28 fridges and etches both brands’ names onto them in chrome. Inside the refrigerators are bottle shelves to safely store all your Veuve Clicquots.
Of course, the partnership would not be complete without a miniature Smeg tin to hold individual bottles of bubbly. This time, the ‘Clicquot Fridge’ reimagines the champagne’s typical packaging and turns it into a sized-down version of a Smeg.
The packaging will come in yellow and pink for the yellow label and cuvée Rosé bottles. Just like its much larger counterpart, the tiny fridge can keep the bubbly cool for two hours, after which it can be repurposed as a storage tin.
On top of that, the material used to keep the alcohol chilled inside can be recycled once it has served its purpose.
